Royal Caribbean.......Get Ready!
Well, it's final.......Tootsie and I are all booked and ready to embark on our girls cruise in October to the Caribbean. It only took about three hours on the phone with Royal Caribbean today to finalize the plans (don't ask why it took so long because I will then have to confess how much of a dumb%*$& I am sometimes!). We have an oceanfront suite which was acquired by accident, but hey, you don't hear us complaining. This will be my first sailing since last year with Karate Man so it will be nice replacing some of those memories with the trouble I am sure Tootsie and I will find on board this time. We have already started the obligatory pre-cruise shopping, treating ourselves to some fabulous jewelry at Sam Moon. Tootsie's first time there today should be a blog entry in and of itself! Let's just say this.....the girl went crazy! The next stop will be getting another fabulous bikini, because I must have a new bikini everyday of the adventure!
Anyway, all this talk of cruises made me conjure up memories of my very first cruise. Ms. Kung Fu and I were about a day over 18 years old when we somehow convinced our parents to let us fly to Puerto Rico and board a ship with about 2,500 strangers. The world must have been more innocent back in '95 because I can assure you that my parents would not be so lenient these days! Anyway, our 8 days of "adventure" and "seeing the world" were spent sipping adult beverages by the pool (I think about 90% of our entertainment budget was spent on booze!), perched up in dead center at the Blackjack table, and posing for a video diary some guests were making about their 18 yo girlfriends they met on the cruise ship. This was hardly the idea my parents had in mind when they paid for the vacation! Oh well, it marked the beginning of Ms. Kung-Fu's and Dr. Trouble's international traveling adventures.
Other than the cruise, there isn't much "troublemaking" to report. My fabulous life is on hold this week. This evening was pleasant and relaxing as Ptex and I had dinner at Paris Vendome then some dessert and wine at Cru. People watching in the West Village always makes for a wonderful evening. The night was capped off with Ptex and I doing a little off-road adventure in his 4x4 "butchmobile" on the lot across the street for my house that is the future home of expensive condos. He got to use his 4-wheel drive and I got to hang on for my life! I am sure the owners appreciate us.
For those of you who keeping asking when Le Divorce (the break-up with Karate Man requires a French title) is going to be written, rest assured it is coming tomorrow. I keep on changing the narration, deciding on how much detail I want to go into. I mean, the story is great. One couldn't even invent fiction this great. How on earth did I live it???

I must say, the last two installments have contained an appalling lack of information about your old buddy Roger.
