I am back in Dallas not even twenty four hours before the fabulous social calendar fills again! This time, I am the event coordinator (I somehow earned the title of unofficial social chair for my residency class) and the destination is Cuba Libre on Knox-Henderson for happy hour and hor'dourves. Thanks to our lovely sponsor Jeff, the mojitos and cuba libres were flowing throughout the night while we enjoyed conversation, laughs, and most of all, NOT being in the hospital. The turn-out was good, as about 30 people decided to forego the medical journal reading and venture out for a evening out on the town. I find it odd that the SAME group of people can always pass up educational opportunities for a little EtOH! Here are some pics from the evening:
The highlight of the evening came with the entrance of Ms. Fabulous and her shoe selection for the night. The shoes were so gorgeous that they warranted their own picture with all the ladies. I cannot disclose how much they cost as to not give away her fashion secrets, but I can tell you this.....Ms. Fabulous and I will be shoe shopping in the next week or two. I am sure the group kept out gracious sponsor way out past his bedtime, but that's OK as the happy hour was successful and sure beat the hell out of the competing group who was sitting right next to us. As for the rest of the evening, well I don't kiss and tell. But I will say I got to model my fabulous tan lines for that special someone out there.
