It's that time of year again - the time we all converge on the Dallas Arboretum and use the tickets provided to us by friends who are members to enjoy the humid, hot Texas weather for Cool Thursdays. Tonight featured Emerald City, a top 40 cover band that is well-known in Dallas and who always draws a crowd. We got some sandwiches, fruit, and of course, numeous bottles of summer wines and Chimay beer, packed our picnic baskets (actually, I think it was plastic Albertson's bags as none of us are sophisticated enough to actually have picnic baskets), grabbed the cooler and we were off. The groups consisted of The New Yorkers, Ashton, Foxy, Ms. Fabulous, Mr. and Mrs. Bad-Relationship-Karma (they didn't want to be on the blog but too bad!), Tootsie, and others. The only one missing was Robin Leach, who had to go to a work celebratory dinner. Here are some pics of us enjoying the band, the breeze, and the booze!
My next stop of the night - Sunset Lounge to finish off the evening just right! The New Yorkers and Fabulous went to Frankie's on McKinney. Robin Leach joined me at this point, excited that he was going to get to take advantage of me in my current state. All I have to say to him is, "HaHaHa!"
