What happens when you put two people together that both have a fascination for the digestive system, the same passion for music and movies, odd philosophical views about the world, and who both like to get into a little trouble now and then......you get instant friends!
Doc Hollywood, called that because not only is he a doctor but is also a screenwriter/film producer, waterpark owner, concert promoter, boat enthusiast (and the list goes on and on), is my new colleague and partner and crime. I had to find someone new to replace all the male friends who have moved away in the past year (Lerxst, Roger Hayes, etc.). We met in the most unusual circumstances, like most of my encounters with really cool people. And what can I say, the rest is history. Anyway, tonight was our night to get in a little trouble as Robin Leach was working late and I had the hankering to go out.
Our first stop was Cuba Libre on Henderson for a pitcher of Mojitos. I had wanted some mojitos since July 4th, when Robin and I were shopping in Z Gallerie and found mojito mix. Robin refused to buy the mix, suggesting that mojitos were easy to make by combining a little rum with sugar and mint leaves. He failed to realize that we keep none of those ingredients around the house and that it would indeed be easier to just buy the freaking mix. Anyway, I was able to quench my mojito craving. Doc Hollywood and I discussed philosophy/religion, our careers, our significant others, and mid-life crises. We also clearly established that he is not as tall as he claims!

We then decided to get in Doc Hollywood's convertible BMW and cruise around Dallas since it was such a gorgeous evening out. Around Uptown, downtown, and Turtle Creek we went, breaking a few traffic laws along the way. Listening to tunes, dancing in the car, and freaking people out by starring at the at traffic lights......what a perfect evening! There is nothing like taking pictures going about 80 mph down Central Expwy. Here they are below:

Anyway, he's off to Mexico for a little fun and frolic with his girlfriend for the weekend and I am stuck here in Dallas catching up on all my studying for my new job. But, I am sure you will be seeing more of him on the blog!
