Contrary to my lack of recent postings on here, I have been having some fun. In fact, last weekend I had A LOT of fun. It was St. Patrick's Day and,

The Tipperary Inn is my favorite Irish Pub in Dallas. It's authentic Irish, complete with Guinness on tap and the decor of any pub you would find in Ireland, and it is in my East Dallas neighborhood. Roger Hayes and I have enjoyed many Shepard pies and Irish coffees there over the years. So, Robin and I headed over to the the pub in the afternoon just in time to hear some Irish tunes and eat some corned beef and cabbage. We ended up with a large booth in the front, just in time for our party to grow.
Lerxst made his way over, as did The New Yorker to join in on the Irish fun. We were given beads, beads, and more green beads by all of the beer marketing folks as well as Irish trinkets and other random stuff as we downed the beer. In fact, the whole table was filled with St. Patty's Day memorbilia! Lerxst was gathering up his stash to give to Roger Hayes to sell on Ebay. The New Yorker and I opted from the Apple Pucker shots and Irish Car Bomb shots.
After much persuasion (and threats), Ms. Fabulous joined us as well. She was in unusual form that day, finding people left and right to buy her drinks. Unfortunately, I have to limit the public details of her adventure as to not incriminate her.
We then made our way to an outside table where we ran into more friends and enjoyed more beer. We tried to tempt Roger Hayes in coming, telling him they were giving away free beer until 6pm. He had called us at 5pm saying he was an hour away. We had the image in our mind - Roger being pulled over on I-30 for speeding as he tried to reach the pub for the free beer promotion. Unfortunately, he opted for a more grown-up dinner at Javier's (who eats Mexican food on St. Patrick's Day???).
