Adventure on the High Seas (Part I )

As most of my readers know, I have absent over the past week. It was finally time for that Caribbean adventure with Tootsie. As I thought, there are numerous stories to tell (some clean and many risque) and numerous pictures to show. Instead of telling everyone individually about the vacation, just read the posting to get the blow by blow. Thus, the vacation blog begins....

Day #1 (Departure):

We leave from Galveston which is quite a change from the other cruises I have taken leaving out of Puerto Rico. Of course we get there early, so the fruity rum drinking can begin and the tanning process can commence ASAP! I, being the absent minded person that I am, somehow manage to lose my on-board credit card/room key within about 1 hour of boarding the ship (and even before any drinking had started!) Tootsie gets a huge laugh out of that one. While at the pool, I spot what appears to be 3 single men at poolside checking us out. Humm, the hunt had started.

The ocean is a bit rough that day and Tootsie gets seasick. (She does manage to get a Scopolamine patch from a doctor we happen to meet and quickly recovers!) So, I have to venture out alone to the Single's Welcome Party at the dance club. Let me say this....even though I have had my heart broken in the last few months and I haven't had the highest of self esteem, I haven't forgotten what it is like to be the center of attention and I love it! Their names were Ernesto, Sampson, and Matt and they hailed from Vancouver, Canada. They were the 3 men that were checking us out earlier that day.

Ernesto was probably the most intriguing of the 3, and of course my radar honed right in on his style and intellect. He designs jewelry and wore many of his own collection pieces throughout the trip. You know me, I always go for the artistic sort and especially those that love funky cufflinks! We took a ton of pics together that night since we matched in our orange shirts.

Then there was Sampson, aka Sam, who was part salesman and part playboy. He was the most charming of all and had an unbelievable smile that made me melt every time.

Matt, a professional hockey player in Canada, rounded out the triplets. He was the quietest, especially since he found a special someone the 1st night of the cruise.

The night got really ugly really fast as we decided to move the party from the dance club to the pool deck at about 2:00AM. In the process, we picked up a few more party members. One happened to be a little 21 year old kid that decided he never wanted to leave our sides the WHOLE cruise. Surprisingly, security wasn't called as we enjoyed a little clothing optional swim at the pool! I don't really remember exactly what time I made it back to our cabin that night but Tootsie was out cold!

Day #2 (at Sea):

Tootsie felt a little better today while I was recovering from a night of fun and frolic. We decided that we would spend the entire day at the pool, doing absolutely nothing. You would be surprised how tiring doing nothing actually is! We watched the male sexy leg contest, drank some more fruity drinks, and met up with guys from the night before.

Tootsie competed in some group pool game and her team one 1st place. It involved popping balloons, a wet T-shirt game, pool relay, and other stuff - basically too much work for me! I opted to be a poolside observer.

Again, we went to the dance club that night with the guys. By this time, our gang has become quite the popular group on the boat!

Of course, we have our eyes on two of the engineers/co-captains of the ship who make their way over to us. Imagine that....it's not even 48 hrs into the cruise and we have found the men in charge of the boat!

Day #3 (at Sea):

The fun continues. Again, we decide to do absolutely nothing. I mean, the hardest decision we had to make all day was what pool chair gave the maximum amount of sun. Now it is time to introduce our dinner companions. We were a bit disappointed at first, given that they were two older couples that knew each other. I think they mistook us for two college girls on a vacations compliments of our parents. However, we quickly found out that they were some of the coolest people on the ship. We all shared many laughs at dinner and each night was entertaining.

And, yet again, we went to the dance club that night. Our group continued to expand, including the art dealer and most of the bar staff!

To be continued.....

That is all well and good, but your buddy Roger needs a script for that avian flu before he goes to Hong Kong!
