Cookie and I have been on a mission for the last year to find the best Tex-Mex food in Dallas. Actually, I think the "mission" is just an excuse for us to go out and partake in unhealthy food and margaritas and not feel guilty about it. However, tonight we decided to change it up a bit and go out for pizza and beer instead. (I had made a declaration to myself that I would give up booze for 2 months after the cruise as part of a self cleansing process.....we see how well that is working!)
When you want pizza in Dallas, you head over to Louie's on Henderson (or to Campisis happy hour downtown for free pizza when you don't have a lot of money!). Louie's isn't in the best part of town, but I think that is part of the charm. The pizza they serve is well worth the visit to this sketchy locale. And, D Magazine backs us up on that, as it was voted the best pepperoni pizza in Dallas in 2004. Ms. Fabulous joined in on the fun as we gossiped about work, drank a few Heineken Lights, talked about our "secret crushes", and caught a few plays from the Dallas Stars game. Yet another low key, yet fun evening spent with friends.
