The Boy's Surprise Birthday!

For those of you that know me, you know that my collection of friends can only be described as eclectic. I float in numerous circles and tonight it was the SMU college crowd. Ms. Fabulous and I headed over to The Phoenix Apartments (also known as "One Big Frat House") on Mockingbird Ave. for a surprise birthday party for The Boy, a friend of Ptex's.

Ms. Fabulous and I knew the host of the party as well as the birthday boy himself. As for everyone else, well...we needed to make the rounds and introduce ourselves. It was during this time that we realized that everyone there was either a junior or a senior at SMU. We were in the land of college kids! And better yet, they all thought we were in college too! We have been mistaken for a lot of things, but seniors in college is a new one (especially when we are both around 30!). Here are the pics before the birthday boy arrived:

We got the call around 10:30pm that Ptex and The Boy had entered the apartment complex. Clearly we had all had plenty to drink by this point because silly string was flying all over the place, the birthday hats were sliding off, and the whistles were going non-stop when they walked through the door. Zoom in on the pics and you can see the shock on The Boy's face as he is greeted by 25 drunken revelers!

The surprise went over well. I got to catch up with Ptex since I had not seen him in months. And, we got to pose with pics of the birthday boy himself. Unfortunately, our evening was over soon thereafter as Ms. Fabulous had to go shopping for yet another Ebay purchase and I had to make my way home to Robin Leach, who I had barely seen in the past few days due to my hectic work schedule.
