The Break-Up Sneak Preview

Thanks to my many connections here in Dallas, I was able to procure tickets to the sneak preview of The Break-Up last night at the new AMC theater at NorthPark. So, Ms. Fabulous and I were off to the movies, eagerly awaiting our chance to dispel the critics' rumors that the movie "sucked". Despite a sold-out movie, we were able to get out usual VIP seating (why are we always so lucky???). The only downside was that the radio personalities were sitting right in front of us and were a rather obnoxious group.

In general, the movie was funny. Then again, I am a huge Vince Vaughn fan (I love Swingers and Old School) and love his quick tempo and numerous one-liners. The critics panned the movie as "painful to watch"; quite the contrary if you ask me. Anyone who has been through a psychotic break-up, with both parties trying to undermine the other with more outrageous stunts, can resonate with the movie. Admit it, everyone goes through at least one psycho-breakup at some point in their lives! So, go see the movie and leave comments as to what you think.

It turned out to be a great night. Ms. Fabulous and I got to catch up on the gossip, a plus for me since I am on a one month hiatus from work and don't get to hear the daily scoop!
