Celebration DinnerAfter 3 years of tedious hours at work and many hours studying the art of medicine (ok, maybe I am exaggerating with the many hours part), my residency came to an end on Friday. So, what do I do t
o celebrate? I get my boyfriend to take me out to some fabulous restaurant for a celebratory dinner as I deserved a little pampering. Robin Leach gave me the option of going anywhere I wanted. But, as usual, I opted for the funky restaurant, The Green Room, for my favorite "Feed Me, Wine Me" meal. For those of you who have not partaken in this dining experience, it consists of a 4 course meal paired with 4 different wines. It's the chef's choice, and they don't take kindly on requests. Because of my hatred towards fish, I always insist that I have a "seafood allergy". Anyway, Robin and I had a great night, toasting numerous times to the face that I was indeed a physician and that I was indeed capable now of opening a practice somewhere and working for real! The remainder of the night was uneventful. We went to some of my favorite little risque stores in Deep Ellum (a must do thing for me after a few glass of wine!) and enjoyed a beautiful night out on the town. It's been a memorable 3 years - with many remarkable moments punctuated by a few very forgettable lows. I have made some amazing friends along the way. Here's to the next 3 years of my training!
