Fourth of July Pool Bash!

My plans hardly ever change for the 4th of July. I mean, I get invited to my friend's lakehouse for a little water skiing/jet ski action. I have the option of going to Jackson, WY to see Robin Leach's family. I have the option of meeting a ton of friends out at a local bar for an all night party. But, what do I do??? I opt for my neighborhood pool party that is always THE place to be on the 4th. You see, my neighborhood consists of two classes of people - the young, professional, unmarried crowd and the wealthy, retired but still "cool", folks that want to live downtown. You put that combination together and you get about 150 people, a margarita machine, beer out the wazoo, great food, and an unbelievable 4th of July party. The New Yorker joined in on the fun as well. Unfortunately, most everyone left at about 4:00pm when the rain came pouring down. By this time, the margarita machine was empty and everyone was well on their way to not remembering the day's activities! I should have taken pictures of all the excitement. Instead, the camera came out 3 hours later, when those of us hard-core people decided to take our fun inside for a competitive pool tournament. I recall it being the Americans versus the British, which was quite appropriate given the holiday. The Americans came out on top, though not without suffering some casualties. Look at what happened to Robin and The New Yorker by the end of the night in the pictures below. To all of you that invited me somewhere else on the 4th......I'll be taking you up on your offers very soon!
