Medicine Boards Countdown!

Well, I got the day off today. I was supposed to study and to relax before my test. Let's just say I did the latter and very little of the former. You know me, I have had three years to study for this thing and cram all of it into the last 3 weeks. There was very little utility in me trying to learn anything new today. So, when I got home, Robin Leach was still there and decided to take me out to lunch. We went to a local favorite, Monica's Aca y Alla in Deep Ellum followed by dessert at Wild About Harry's on Knox-Henderson. Then, it was back home for a little studying where I quickly found myself asleep on the sofa after about 30 minutes. At this point, I would have opted for cleaning house over reading topics like rheumatology!

It was then that Robin Leach again came to the rescue and suggested that we go to a movie. The movie selection: The Oh in Ohio, a goofy little indie flick starring Parker Posey, Paul Rudd, and Danny DeVito. The topic of the film is "female sexual dysfunction", a medical term that somehow made me feel that I was perhaps doing a little studying while I was watching the movie. Yeah, yeah, I know it's a stretch! Anyway, we laughed hysterically throughtout the movie, especially when Liza Minnelli made her cameo appearance. The whole scene involving mirrors and undiscovered ground was reminescent of one of my favorite Sex in the City episodes!

I couldn't have asked for a better day and a better way to get my mind off my test. Thank you Robin for making this day so special!
