Ms. Kung-Fu in NOLA Without Me!

I was awakened early Friday morning at 2:00am with a text message on my cell phone. It was non other than Ms. Kung-Fu, sitting at The Funky Pirate in New Orleans listening to Big Al and The Blues Masters belt out some blues. And knowing that I would have been with her had I not been on call this weeked, she attached the following pic for my amusement. Those of you that know me know that this is my favorite bar in New Orleans, and I have been frequenting it for years now. Here is Big Al himself, on his usual perch singing the blues:

I am not sure what kind of trouble Ms. Kung-Fu found herself in this weeked in New Orleans without me. Together we have had numerous experiences in that city, including telephone confrontations with ex-boyfriends at Smith & Wollensky, a man proposing to me at The Funky Pirate, being serenaded at Lafittes Blacksmith Shop, Clarky passing out and braking her ankle, etc. But, I am certain she had a great time. Thank goodness she isn't married and living in Manchester, UK!
