Gosh, it has been a while since I have had time to sit down and type a few words for the blog. A few of you out there that have been loyal readers over the years have even commented on my absence! Rest assured that I have been out and about, enjoying the good life and, most importantly, having adventures to write about. I've been sailing in the Chesapeake, drinking beer and yodeling at Addison's Oktoberfest, walking around the streets of Boston, MA basking in the unseasonably warm fall weather in the North East, taking in the Dallas Mavericks home opener with court side tickets, and, most importantly, enjoying the fried fare at the State Fair of Texas. If you didn't know me, you would almost think that I didn't have a job that required close to 80 hours a week, weekend calls, and saving lives!
On a more serious note, I have buckled down at work as I have started a research project that blew up from a simple concept to ground-breaking potential. In addition, I was offered a position at my "dream job" here in Dallas, though it has been hard to commit to staying here in Dallas now that I have started on the interview trail to the mid-Atlantic coastal states. That is a topic and blog posting in and off itself when it comes to commitment issues from Robin Leach.
So, that is a summary of the last 2 months, albeit brief. I'll try to post more blog entries, if only to get Roger Hayes from asking if I am dead! We have several upcoming trips planned, including a relaxing week aboard Valkyrie, complete with new sails, and a weekend of fun in Chicago. Maybe I will remember to take more pictures this time!
Here are some pics of Robin Leach, Ms. Fabulous and company at the State Fair on the Ferris wheel and playing "Flip A Chick":
Robin Leach and I at Oktobefest (probably after a few Paulaners since the quality is so poor!):

A few pics from Boston. The first is at Long Wharf near Quincy Market and was taken to make Robin jealous. The second is at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, where we were staying.

Finally, the Mavs home opener against the Spurs. Though I invited Ms. Fabulous to go with me since she is a huge Spurs fan, she was conveniently "out on a date"!

And finally, Pic of the Week............who are these two goofballs in the flowers?
