The Destruction Has Begun

Exactly 1 year after Robin Leach and I talked about remodeling my bathroom and after numerous reminders to him that my bathroom still, for lack of a better word choice, SUCKS, the demolition and remodeling has finally begun. Unannounced to me, I walked upstairs yesterday only to find my toilet sitting in my bedroom. Not only were the contents of the bathroom sitting on the floor, but the bathroom had been gutted down to just the support beams. No sheet rock, no more tile floor, no more toilet or bathtub! I am sure my neighbors loved hearing the demolition process. I was so excited to see the progress and I began counting down the days until I am again sitting in the tub with candles burring all around, sipping a glass of wine and reading Vanity Fair. What a perfect birthday gift!

I hope this little bathroom refit is going to go well. I still haven't exactly picked out the tile as I keep wavering between slate and stone and can never seem to make up my mind. I told Robin to just pick something as he has much better interior design/decorating sense than me. Anyway, I plan to photograph the process and will post the demolition pics later today.

Based on my obsessive viewing of all those house flipping shows, I can safely say that stone will add more value to your condo. Problem solved.
