Happy 31st Birthday to Me!

After kicking off #30 with a bang at last year's Martini Mingle, it was that time to celebrate again. For those of you who keep inquiring, yes, we will be having the annual martini party this year and the planning is already underway. It should be even more fun this year as the invite list keeps growing (I believe we were at 150+ people last year). However, due to our demanding work and call schedules, Ms. Fabulous and I have had to postpone it until January. The way I look at it, January is such a let down month after coming off the highs of my birthday, Christmas, and of course New Years. Why not take a break from the cold weather and the gloominess of winter while sipping martinis at our little soiree?

Anyway, our less intense celebration this year was at La Duni, as I was craving some of their famous cocktails. Of course Robin Leach and Ms. Fabulous were there, as well as Albster, Tootsie and Cookie. We drank, ate delectable South American cuisine and discussed everything from men and sex to our medical ailments (the latter becomes a topic of conversation in the over 30 crowd obviously!). Even though I demanded no gifts as great friends is all I needed for my birthday, I ended up with gift certificates galore to all my favorite places and a promise from Robin to finally start the bathroom renovation project. The evening ended with the gang singing happy birthday to me (a slightly better rendition than Robin's version sung half asleep in the early AM) with a candle in a piece of Cuatro Leches cake (yum, yum!).
