It was an unbelieveably gorgeous day on Saturday so Robin and I spent most of the day outside taking pictures with his new entirely-too-fancy digital camera with entirely-too-many lenses. Between photographing potential upgrades for Valkyrie at the Dallas Boat Show and taking pictures of downtown Dallas at the Farmers Market with all the fancy camera settings, I was basking in this almost 70 degree weather. So, why not extend then time outdoors a bit and plan an an evening at Lee Harvey's. Besides, Ms. Fabulous needed to prove to someone that she actually had friends! As none of our friends had actually heard of Lee Harvey's, let alone been there, I had to warn everyone about the sketchy neighborhood in the Cedars. As my email read: If you think you are in the wrong neighborhood....you aren't!
The evening started out gorgeous. Robin and I found a table next to a fire and promptly began craving the awesome onion rings that Lee Harvey's has. Everyone soon strooled in, and, unfortunately, most were coatless! You see, the best part about Lee Harvey's is sitting outdoors around the fire, especially if there is a band playing on the front porch. We were sans band this evening, but did have a very warm fire to move our table closer to. But, with the temperatrue dropping precipituotusly from the high 70s, it wasn't the most ideal evening. Oh well...my bad!
The evening went well after a few coats were swapped. Foxy Cleopatra was in attendance, making everyone laugh as usual with her funny stories, as was The Chin (although his arrival was after my camera battery died!). We all feasted on onion rings while meeting new people throughout the evening. And, as the pictures suggest, Ms. Fabulous was able to prove that she truly did have friends. Here are a couple of pics from the night, taken with my not-so-fancy-schmancy camera:
