As mentioned in the previous posting, Lerxst is back in town for a few days for business and a little fun. Lerxst and I became friends several years ago when he was completing his MBA at SMU. He has always been there for me, comforting me many times when I didn't want to be alone and helping me pick up the pieces when the relationship with Karate Man ended. I can never repay him for his generosity. He then moved to Phoenix, but never forgets his two best friends in Dallas - Roger Hayes and me. Tonight was his night to take us out and to make the rounds at all of our old spots.
Our first stop of the evening was to pick up Roger Hayes at Christie's on

Our next stop was The Metropolitan, a downtown restaurant where both Roger and Lerxst are VIPs and where we all know the bartenders. Lerxst wanted to meet some women tonight, and was upset about the lack of ladies at the Metro. I recommended he walk over to Fuse for a taste of the Dallas scene, but I didn't want to go because it had been a long week and I needed to have an early evening. We then decided to call it a night.


On the way home, "Mr. Jones" by the Counting Crows played on the radio and Lerxst and I sang at the top of our lungs. By this time, we decided we had
