St. Patrick's Day Block Party

As evidenced by the lack of postings recently on my blog, I have been relatively tame as of late. Staying in on Friday nights, saving money just to hand it over to the IRS on April 15th, and trying to be studious before my upcoming board exams, I have really turned into a lame person (where did the fun Dr. Trouble go???). This weekend was to be more of the same. Robin Leach had a big project looming over his head for work in addition to his ongoing construction project and would be out of commission most of the weekend. Besides, I had somewhat promised him I would help him at the condos he is renovating since I knew he would be there most of the weekend. But, after taking one look at that project and quickly realizing that home improvement/construction ain't my bag, I opted for something a little more exciting. Here is Robin and his partner attempting to install granite:

I picked up The New Yorker and we were off to the annual Greenville Ave. St. Patrick's Day Block Party. The weather was gorgeous as we made our way from pub to pub along Greenville Ave. taking in the crowd and the celebration as well as picking up a few green beads along the way. We met up with some friends of the The New Yorker's at The Dubliner and watched some basketball while drinking green beer. It must be something about green beer that makes you lose count after about 3! Our next stop was to a house party somewhere in the neighborhood for some more fun.

I believe it was about 5:00pm by the time we left the party and both of us were anxious to get home to do the exact same thing - GO TO SLEEP! I remember the days when this annual event was an all night affair. Clearly, I must be getting old because I sure can't party like I used to!

Why is it that when Duke lost and JJ Redick started crying, the whole bar started cheering and laughing?
